Recorded by Defsound deep in the underground of Beijing (literally 4 stories underground!) a year to the day before the legendary producer Steve Albini left this world, the punk album Passion of the Thrice is now on all your favorite streaming services and contains 9 tracks that drive at full throttle from beginning to end kicking off with Drink Yourself to Death in Shenzhen, a track that contains an epic anti-BREXIT rant by ME.3P.OH bassist and vocalist MIke Fox who, in his own words, “spitballed it” during the recording session.

Defsound’s very own Daniel Finn served as the recording, mixing and mastering engineer who manned the gear and got every decibel of sound pouring out of the punk trio in a single 5 hour recording session. That’s the way the band wanted to do it, and that’s the way we did it. They wanted to go in, basically play a live show in the studio, with a little bit of leeway to do some retakes, and walk out of there with enough material for a whole album. Their wish came true and within a few weeks, all 9 tracks were mixed, mastered and ready for distribution. After a bit of backroom planning, the album was released on RefleX Records and is waiting for you to blare it on your listening system of choice. Up the punx!
